When I was leaving India for Poland, the weather forecast told me the temperatures there were oscillating between 2 and -2º C. However, on my second day in the country, the weather dipped to -8º C and the third day ended in an unexpected snowstorm. Eager to go out and get some photographs, I took my camera with me as I wandered about the small villages in and around the Szamocin area. I stumbled across this lake on one of my walks, and was mesmerised. I was fascinated by the fact that the lake would freeze over in a few days. The photograph I took was probably the last reflection of a setting sun before the lake froze over the next morning.
